Starting to feel a little holiday stress? You’re not alone. MemberSuite suggests ways you can help your members (and yourself) deal with holiday stress. Note to self: it’s all doable. Breathe.

The 2020 predictions and trends articles are starting to appear. Sustainability and ‘flight shaming’ are topping many lists of event trends. WBT Systems asks if associations need to think about providing a more sustainable professional development option to their members and market.

Billhighway is publishing a series of posts about chapters in crisis. To start off, they look at how you can help chapters recover from (and prevent) financial mismanagement.

A twofer on data privacy regulations. Steven MacDonald at SuperOffice provides a guide to GDPR for B2B marketers that includes smart advice even if you don’t have an EU audience. And, Caroline Forsey at HubSpot explains what California’s new data privacy act means for marketers.

Quick hits before we get to next week’s free webinars:

  • 3 tips for women who want to improve their mindsets in 2020. Love this approach to goals, success and life. (Aimee V. Sanchez, Ph.D., Association Chat)

Good eats: I didn’t spend much time in the kitchen this past week due to ASAE TEC and other commitments, but I did make this chile crisp from Bon Appetit. I spooned it over pan-fried flounder and will now find other ways to use the leftovers, very tasty stuff. If you’re not familiar with this Chinese condiment, this article from Taste about the cult of chile crisp will bring you up to speed.

Here are the educational events scheduled for next week. If you have any free webinars or events coming up, please send me the link. I’ll be happy to feature it as long as it’s not product-centric.
