Mortgage Broker Group Launches an AMC Subsidiary

The National Association of Mortgage Brokers will offer association management services to its affiliates around the country—and already has three state-level organizations under its belt.

The National Association of Mortgage Brokers is getting into the AMC business in a big way.

The association recently announced the launch of a subsidiary, NAMB Association Services, an association management company that aims to provide affiliate associations with assistance managing their events and other activities.

“Association Services was created to provide NAMB’s Independent Affiliate Associations with a cost-effective, reliable, and industry-focused alternative to self-management and the countless other commercial association management companies nationwide,” NAMB states on its website.

The association pledges to lower costs for affiliates while taking advantage of its existing base of industry connections.

The initiative, which is led by a separate board of directors, is managing NAMB itself, along with NAMB Plus, its recently announced association health plan benefit. Three state-level groups have signed up thus far—the California Association of Mortgage Professionals, Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals, and Oregon Mortgage Association. The group is currently managing clients that represent around 7,500 members.

In comments to National Mortgage Professional, NAMB Association Services President Olga Kucerak said the AMC has ambitious goals for the coming years.

“Because of the unmatched services we provide to the industry, I believe by 2020, our organization is well equipped to nearly triple the number of members and organizations we serve and look forward to this expansion to provide the best industry-wide services and support for independent affiliate associations,” she said.
