After a golf tournament and opening reception on Saturday, ATA MCE officially starts on Sunday with a general session. Two speakers will give attendees a 360-degree look at all the economic factors affecting the trucking industry, along with information they need to make well-informed strategic decisions. Also on the agenda:

Pre-election coverage. During the conference’s National Political Update, two respected political analysts, Peter Hart and Neil Newhouse, will offer a point-counterpoint on the issues and strategies that will matter on Election Day. Attendees will also get a sneak peek at the latest polls and what they mean for the future of the trucking industry.

Safety first. This year’s meeting has a strong focus on safety. Attendees will get up to speed on the next big safety advances on the horizons as well as the newest technologies their peers and competitors have already put on the road. In addition, using a recently released ATA survey, they’ll be able to see how their safety investments stack up.

Top-notch entertainment. At the ATA Annual Reception & Banquet on Tuesday night, attendees will have some more time to mix and mingle and will be entertained by the one and only John Fogerty. The former lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival will play all his hits.
