Association Brain Food Weekly: 6.6.16

Somewhere off the Burr Trail in Capital Reef NP

I’m not going to name names, but I saw a company promote a webinar on Twitter just two days before holding it—that was the first time they mentioned it on Twitter. I went to their site to see where they promoted upcoming events, like webinars. Nowhere. Not on their Resources page, not on their home page. What the heck? I’m guessing they announced it to their email list but wouldn’t you want to get more leads by sharing it more widely?

That’s why we need articles like this one from Brianna Lawson at Naylor Association Solutions: Kick Your Association’s Webinar Promotion Up a Notch. Association or company, in this case the same rules apply. She shares ten tactics to promote your webinar, including #3: “Add a blurb or graphic onto the home page and additional main pages of your association’s website.”

Here’s my list of webinars and other professional development events for the week of June 6. If I missed your webinar, it’s because, ahem, I didn’t learn about in time. Please send me (by Twitter or email) the link to information about your webinar before Thursday, and I’ll be happy to include it in the following week’s list—as long as it’s not a product-centric webinar, sorry, I try not to list those.
