Association Brain Food Weekly: 6.27.16

I’ve been thinking about morning habits, again. Last spring, after reading The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, I developed morning habits like exercise, meditation, reading, and gratitude journaling that stuck with me for quite a while. Et voilà, my productivity increased. But after a while, I lost my mojo and the habits faded.

I picked these habits back up recently and, of course, my energy and productivity increased again. Duh. However, if I make the mistake of looking at my emails or Twitter before their scheduled time, I’m doomed. One good read leads to another. I think to myself, “I’ll exercise later” and later, “Why don’t I take a rest day.” And, what do you know—my productivity that day goes down the tubes. Haven’t I learned this lesson hundreds of times already? Back in the saddle tomorrow.

Enough of my kvetching, here’s the list of webinars and other events for the association community for the week of June 27.
