Let Me Tell You a Story…

Can you create deeper, more meaningful relationships by sharing your personal stories?

Many years ago, a group of friends and I worked to bring a project called Mortified to DC. The project had us meeting people from all over DC and working with them to develop their stories taken directly from their own angsty teen and tween-age diaries and journals to be shared on stage for a live audience.
It was magical (and hilarious).

On Tuesday at 2 pm ET, I will talk with David Nadelberg, the founder of the international, multimedia storytelling project, Mortified.

Since launching in 2002, Nadelberg grew the project into a global grassroots brand that now includes a weekly podcast, 2 acclaimed books, popular events from LA to DC to Paris, an independent film, a Sundance Channel talk show, a 2017 miniseries for Netflix and more.

His work has appeared on The Today Show, This American Life, All Things Considered, Washington Post, Boston Globe, and Entertainment Weekly and was hailed “a cultural phenomenon” by Newsweek.

(Dave is also the co-creator of a new game called, “I Can’t Believe I Did That…”, which would make for some FASCINATING times on your next Zoom call…)

In addition to writing, producing and content creation, Nadelberg runs storytelling workshops and hosted 2 seasons of the Sundance TV’s Mortified Sessions– interviewing a variety of influencers from pop stars to writers to CEOs. Nadelberg is passionate about using technology to enable people to tell stories about their lives and enrich their communities.
