We’re seeing “an influx of spending and a massive increase in content creation, but a lack of content marketing strategy,” says Jimmy Daly. Don’t publish content just for the sake of content. Follow his advice for developing a content marketing strategy.

Association departments are business owners of technology—think AMS or LMS—but they usually don’t know how to map out the roles and policies needed to best use those systems. Tobin Conley, CAE, at DelCor explains what to do if you find yourself holding an unfamiliar IT bag.

Membership decisions don’t always get made at renewal time. Eric Lanke relates his experience as an association member who realized four months before renewal that “this organization was not for me.”

Are your members stressed out by the constantly changing world of work and uncertain about their future? WBT Systems explains how to boost their confidence and alleviate their career anxiety by promoting the benefits of lifelong learning.

A few quick hits before we get to this week’s list of free webinars:

  • “Instead of talking about how great our association is, we should focus our messaging on our new members’ problems and the solutions we have for their problems.” Yes! (Amanda Kaiser, Smooth The Path)

Off-topic: Check out my Grabbing the Gusto blog for posts about the recipes I’ve made recently or plan to make soon.

Here are the educational events scheduled for next week plus a few extra. If your organization has a free webinar or event coming up, please send me the link. I’ll be happy to feature it as long as it’s not product-centric.
