The nation's largest gathering focused on the apartment industry will have several celebrities in residence. Plus: An adult association for children's literature.

The nation’s largest gathering focused on the apartment industry will have several celebrities in residence. Plus: An adult association for children’s literature.

This year’s National Apartment Association Education Conference and Exposition is aiming high in Denver. The event will run June 18-21, playing host to more than 7,000 members of the “multifamily housing” industry.

Actor Michael J. Fox and Shark Tank hosts Barbara Corcoran and Kevin Harrington will deliver keynote addresses. In addition, representatives of a multitude of companies and exhibitors will be coalescing in the Mile High City to share insights, promote their firms, and learn from fellow industry pros.

Other associations can make note of NAA’s conference planning, from its event app to its attendee resources, to find inspiration for planning their own gatherings.

The Week Ahead

June 16-17: Members of the hospitality industry will be accommodated during the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s annual Meetings, Events, Education and Technology [MEET] West conference in San Diego.

June 18-21: Devotees of literature for younger audiences would do well to keep tabs on the 41st annual Children’s Literature Association Conference, held this year at the University of South Carolina, in Columbia. The theme? “Diverging Diversities: Plurality in Children’s and Young Adult Literature Then and Now.”

June 20-23: Are there any mayors reading Conference Circuit this week? If so, don’t miss your chance to attend the 82nd Annual Conference of Mayors in Dallas and join more than 1,300 other government heads of cities with populations of at least 30,000.

Down the Line

June 27-29: We’ve covered the story of the International Quidditch Association before, and soon it will be time for the world’s most popular organization devoted to the real-life pursuit of an imaginary Harry Potter sport to hold QuidCon, its annual conference, in Washington, DC.
