Close to 1,600 distributor-wholesalers, suppliers, industrial manufacturers’ representatives, and service providers in the maintenance, repair, operations, and production industry will make their way to Denver in the next few days to network with industry peers, meet new trading partners, preview products, and hear presentations.

The ISA Convention begins on Saturday evening with an opening keynote by Jeremy Bout, a former manufacturing executive who is now executive producer of the production company Edge Factor. He’ll discuss how companies that innovate will succeed not only because they’re mastering new technologies but also because they’re bringing inspiration and energy into their business. Other noteworthy items:

Preschedule meetings. During Monday’s “Supplier Day,” 15-minute appointments can be made through the new online Network Now scheduling interface. It provides a fast and easy way for attendees to set up meetings with the companies they want to meet, when they want to meet them.

Party like a pro. This year’s closing reception will take place at Mile High Stadium, home of the Denver Broncos. Attendees are encourage to wear their favorite sports jersey, and there will be football skill competitions, live music, photo opportunities, and a sports-themed silent auction loaded with memorabilia, tickets, and more. All proceeds will benefit the ISA Foundation.

Three-for-one special. During Sunday’s new speaker series, ISA 360, attendees will hear from three industry thought leaders in 60 minutes. Phil DeSimone will discuss additive manufacturing, Jason Hein will talk about strategies for winning the “e-revolution,” and Arijit Sengupta will cover the benefits of predictive analytics.
