The premise is professional golfers miss putts for birdie more often than the miss the identical putts for par. The reason – bogeys are more dreaded than pars so they actually risk more to make the par putt than the birdie.

What my 60 year old father reminds us about Facebook

Aaron Wolowiec

This is my dad with his granddaughter (my niece), Bella, during a visit to North Carolina. In the spirit of full disclosure, my dad doesn’t actually turn 60 until this October. Nevertheless, he’s nearly hit this extraordinary milestone, so I thought I’d give him the benefit of the doubt. The story, itself, is pretty simple. I was traveling from Grand Rapids to Lansing yesterday in my mobile office.

The Next Generation of Leaders

Association Leaders

This blog is about associations, volunteerism and leadership. We often explore leadership traits, discuss leadership experiences and offer suggestions for working to become better leaders. We haven’t to date discussed the next generation of leaders. Every organization, whether an association or a for profit corporation, must address how the next generation of its leaders and customers will interact, will deliver services, and what services those customers will desire.
