Watch the first ‘Why Community Matters’ video drop: Series is like a tour guide for online community

The series hits Association Chat on June 4.

Association Chat is serving up some informative wisdom on belonging with its new series “Why Community Matters.”

The show, which hits the Association Chat YouTube channel on June 4, features 10 episodes that each address a different lesson in a fast-paced and fun way. Each video runs two-to-three minutes long and packs in a whole lot of knowledge.

“I’ve been wanting to do a series like this for a long time,” KiKi L’Italien, Association Chat CEO said.

“Many association leaders are talking about community and taking it very seriously after spending a year and a half stuck in one spot. They’ve had a chance to recognize why it’s important for members to have stronger bonds in between when they see each other in person at conferences.”

The series features lessons from experts on community, including human connector JUNO CEO Josh Hotsenpiller, Daybreaker creator Radha Agrawal, the creator of Mortified David Nadelberg, and social sculptor Philippa P.B. Hughes. The first five videos of the series will follow the Five Pillars of Community created by Hottsenpiller.

“My hope is that the people who see these videos pay attention. This is the best advice out there on creating stronger communities from people who have done it themselves remarkably well,” L’Italien said.

The series will release one new video each week and all the videos can be viewed on the Association Chat website and on the Association Chat YouTube channel.
