Reid All About it

Save Time – Stop Excessive Emailing

Association Leaders

As business and association leaders we all receive and send hundreds of emails daily. Including junk/spam and legitimate emails, I receive 300 emails daily on average. I send on average 50 emails daily. Using member research

Optimist Consulting

Last week 30 membership professionals gathered to hear about member research and what it can do for an organisation. I organised the event on behalf of MemberWise , a free resource for those working in the membership field. It was a really buzy night. The first presentation, from Seb Elsworth at ACEVO (where I used to work), the charity CEO membership body, who focused on using research to inform the strategic planning process.

Avoiding Conversation Cruise Control

Idea Architects

Too many of our language conventions stop progress, stop thinking, and stop dialogue. They simply trigger pre-scripted mindsets, personally and professionally. When I hear someone say ABC, I automatically react with XYZ. We can't lead, work, or have strong interpersonal relationships on cruise control. But if anyone would interrupt this conversational cruise control, we'd have to engage in actually driving the conversation again, just as tapping on the brakes of a car on cruise control requires
