We didn’t do everything by the official rulebook, as a matter of fact, I never even bought the Cadette handbook, but those leadership skills were embedded in me. We camped all through the year, even on snow during the Boy Scout-Girl Scout winter jamborees. Just don’t ask me to lash together a sled. Support your local Girl Scouts.

Later on Sunday, I made my first banh mi ever thanks to The Banh Mi Handbook by Andrea Nguyen. I used the extra chorizo from that recipe to make breakfast tacos on Sunday morning, adding sautéed onion to the chorizo/potato mixture. These ended up being knife-and-fork tacos since we stuffed them too full to pick up.
