Tech Tools to Create Cool Content for Social Media

Beth Ziesenis is known as “Your Nerdy Best Friend.” She always has great suggestions for tech tools that are easy, inexpensive and fun. I always make sure I check out her sessions when I’m at a conference where she’s presenting. Monday’s session resulted in a great list of tools to use to create cool content for your association’s social media. Use these tools to help you tell the story of your association.

• Animoto: Instant multimedia video. Free for up to 30 seconds, or $30 per year for the full version.
• Videolicious: Voice-over Video. Pick clips on your phone while talking through them for the voice-over portion.
• Magisto: Instant video. Does not include any editing tools, the app mixes the clips itself.
• iMovie: Video templates
• PowToon: Stop-motion video. Drag and drop set-up, with a higher learning curve. Cost is dozens of dollars versus thousands of dollars
• Adobe Voice
• PicPlayPost: Video Postcards created from your iPhone
• Play Buzz: Create online quizzes
• Ease.ly: Create free infographics
• Mozaikr: iPhone mosaic maker. Create a mosaic using your conference logo with smaller images of conference action and attendees.
• WordFoto and WordCam: Create word art from photos. Use to create photos of staff describing what each staff member does.
• Quozio: Instant graphics from words
• Tagxedo: Create word art. Use to recognize your sponsors in graphic form.
• Pixlr: Free, online Photoshop competitor
• Canva: Graphic creator
• Graphic Resizer: Internet Marketing Ninjas
• YouTube: Video editor. Gives you the ability to add a 2-3 second intro to each video.
• Sniply: Allows you send out links with notes you’ve written on them.
• Fiverr: Freelancer marketplace where people will help you with contracts for $5.
