It has been a lot of hard work but it looks like the TMG Connection Newsletter is very close to launching. I ended up taking the newsletter in a different direction, continuing with the HTML format, which I am using MailChimp to create. I also created a blog to serve as the newsletter website, www.tmgconnection.com. I also created a subscribe form for anyone interested in receiving the newsletter.

It took a bit longer than planned but we finally finished up the re-launch effort of the TMG Connection Newsletter. You can view the newsletter here , and the blog that goes along with it here. I think a lot of what I talk about on here will lead into some content for the blog and upcoming newsletters. So far the response has been great. While the traffic to the blog has not been heavy, it has been enough to see what worked and what did not work.

MailChimp is great for any kind of email including basic marketing and even newsletters. Anyone out there want to share their top online resources from 2010? The first tool I began to use extensively was Evernote, www.evernote.com.

The past couple of weeks I have been putting some time into a new project, the company newsletter. The newsletter had been a quarterly publication in PDF. Using MailChimp , which is one of my favorite things on the internet, I got the template done for the newsletter and began building the first issue. I anticipate getting the newsletter out in the next few weeks.

The second project I have taken on is a revamp of my company newsletter. With the help of a few others in the office I am working towards turning the newsletter from a PDF to HTML. I took this project on to get some extra experience working with a newsletter. I have set up the template for the newsletter and it is ready for content to just be dropped in. The past few months of work has been dominated by GDC prep.
