Every moment is worth capturing. Moments are the lifeblood of events, and they shouldn’t be just experienced then forgotten. Capture, remember, and share the memories from your events via images. “One good image could find one hundred uses and spread your message far and wide,” writes Keith Johnston for Plannerwire.net. Even if you don’t hire a professional photographer, it’s still worth encouraging members of your association to take pictures before, during, and after the event to share later. (ht @thehubtalks)

Big television screens, loud music, laughter, and beer. It sounds like happy hour at a sports bar, but it’s not. Beer gardens, which are German-style beer halls, are a popular summer venue for event professionals seeking to create community. Rob Johnson, vice president of marketing responsible for the bookings at Victory Beer Hall, explains their appeal to BizBash: “People really like the communal-table seating—it allows for a lot of easy mixing at an event that can have the tech and presentation elements, but not feel formal and stuffy.” Beer gardens can create a sense of open community for attendees and provide a higher level of energy and entertainment compared a traditional venue. (ht @mljevent)
