Earlier this year, CAI achieved an important milestone. For the first time, our organization grew beyond 45,000 members. Reaching this number during our 50th anniversary year is a gratifying accomplishment, which reflects the hard work and dedication that CAI members and staff have put in to make for a robust and successful organization. But I think there’s more to the story.
While the membership count itself is significant, I believe the connections and networking opportunities that a healthy and growing membership offers are where the chief takeaway lies. Some of CAI’s greatest strengths are the contacts and relationships it presents to professionals worldwide.
As CAI members, homeowner leaders, community managers, and business partners have access to a global network of friends and colleagues who can offer guidance and support on a variety of professional topics and experiences. In a complicated and ever-changing professional landscape, CAI members are never alone. There is always someone to learn from, exchange ideas with, and get feedback and advice when needed.
Knowing someone has your back is not only comforting but extremely valuable in a fast-paced and rapidly changing industry. I’m incredibly proud of CAI’s accomplishments and the personal and professional relationships it extends to CAI members around the world. These bonds are the foundation of everything CAI strives to accomplish and represent the highest benefit of membership to the people working and living in community associations.
As we wrap up our 50th anniversary year, I want to thank the 45,000+ CAI members and volunteers who have contributed to our success and urge everyone to take advantage of the beneficial connections CAI offers to enhance and sustain colleagues. We are just a phone call, text, or email away and happy to help. That’s what I call true strength in numbers.
