Your weekly list of free webinars and events for the association community…
Countdown time to AMS Fest!! I’m looking forward to spending a few days next week talking and thinking about association technology. Ah, the geeky pleasures of life. If you can’t make it to AMS Fest in Chicago next week, stay tuned for my reports.
Most people, when asked, will say they want to improve their skills or increase their knowledge, but only a minority actually do something about it. LMS provider WBT Systems describes the different psychological, environmental, and technical obstacles that stand between your members and your online learning programs.
As a writer and a learner, I love content hubs, and so does Imagination, a content marketing agency serving the association space. Content hubs are “more substantial than a blog and more focused than a website… [They] provide contextual depth and authoritative breadth on a select handful of strategic industry topics that matter to your industry.” Check out their series of posts about content hubs.
If you rather listen than read, the April episode of the AssociationNation podcast, produced by Imagination and Association Media & Publishing, is all about content hubs.
When you create a content hub on your website, make sure Google finds it and likes it. This article from Search Engine Journal explains how your website structure affects SEO.
Are you spending the right amount of money on technology? Well, it depends, says Mike Guerrieri, CAE of DelCor Technology Solutions. He explains the different factors you need to take into consideration when comparing your IT budget to the budgets of other associations.
Here’s the list of next week’s learning events. If your organization has a webinar scheduled in the near future, please send me the link. I’ll be happy to feature it as long as it’s not too product-centric.
