After a long time apart, CAI is excited to welcome more than 1,000 registered attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors to the 2021 Annual Conference and Exposition: Community NOW, Aug. 18–21, in Las Vegas. As the first CAI in-person event in more than a year, this will be an amazing opportunity to come together and celebrate the communities we serve and the volunteers and professionals who support them.

These unprecedented times require us to reassess all aspects of planning and hosting an event of this size. We moved the conference from early May to mid-August, allowing more time to plan, address new health and safety protocols, and create an approach that complies with federal, state, and local regulations, while also allowing for more extensive distribution of vaccines to the general population. The city of Las Vegas has developed a detailed reopening plan too. Find the latest information on health protocols at www.visitlasvegas.com/vegas-smart.

Just this week, following the uptick in COVID-19 Delta variant cases, Clark County, Nev., announced that it would follow new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding face masks. Beginning July 30, Las Vegas will require that everyone—including fully vaccinated individuals—wear a mask in public indoor settings. CAI is expecting all conference attendees to follow the new guidelines to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus in our community. We will have complimentary masks available throughout the week for guests.

All Annual Conference education and networking programs will be hosted in larger meeting spaces, exclusively reserved for CAI, to allow for social distancing and other safety precautions. We will be taking advantage of the newly opened Caesars Forum—a spectacular, 300,000-square-foot conference center that offers plenty of space for our audience and a remarkable attendee experience. Hotel lodging for our event this year is at Harrah’s and The Linq; attendees of previous conferences in Las Vegas may remember we’re traditionally based out of Caesars Palace.

Our popular preconference education courses will take place Aug. 16–17. During conference, we will present 16 thought-provoking education sessions. A few of the topics include:

  • Overcoming Racism in Community Associations: How to Be an Agent of Change (preview here)
  • A Great Place to Work: Attracting and Retaining Talent in a Competitive World
  • Emotional Health at Work: Manage Stressful Situations and Increase Productivity (preview here)
  • Wave of Change: How COVID-19 Transformed the Community Association Management Profession

This year’s Annual Conference also will offer attendees a new Wellness Lounge where you can network with other attendees in a relaxing environment, have some healthy refreshments, take part in a step challenge, get a quick massage, and receive tips for stress relief and meditation. The Wellness Lounge is proudly sponsored by BrightView.

If you have not registered, there’s still time. Click here to purchase tickets, read about keynote speakers, explore networking opportunities, and more. See you in Las Vegas!
