ASAE Urges Government to Halt Sale of.Org Registry

In a letter to the Justice and Commerce departments and the Federal Trade Commission this week, ASAE said the sale of the.org registry to a for-profit firm risks exposing nonprofit organizations to drastically higher costs to maintain their online presence. ASAE this week asked the federal government to intercede and stop the pending sale of the.org domain registry to the private equity firm Ethos Capital LLC.
