Despite all those glowing reviews you see on association management software provider’s websites, it seems like no one is actually satisfied with their AMS. You don’t like the tools, you hate the support, and you spend all day wrestling with technology and trying to get your association management system to work.

I’m not going to name names, but I saw a company promote a webinar on Twitter just two days before holding it—that was the first time they mentioned it on Twitter. I often hear from my clients something along these lines: “We’d like that data but we don’t have it.” I always respond with “Do you not have it because you’ve never collected it, or because you have no way to collect it and store it?” In other words, are you NOT doing something because you can’t do it, or because you don’t do it?

This photo shows what I saw when I checked in at my doctor’s office last week. Obviously, they have not yet switched to electronic medical records. As you look at the profession/industry of your members, are they facing similar changes because of technology?

Note from Beth: I’ve been a fan of Games for Change Festival since 2006 when I first heard about it, almost ten years ago. While I have not been able to attend every year, I do publish a guest post every year with a roundup of how nonprofits are embracing the use of games.
