Financial protection: Foreclosure moratorium receives another extension

The federal foreclosure moratorium has been extended to the end of July to help millions of Americans facing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic stay in their homes. In addition, new rules released by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau look to further protect homeowners from foreclosure through the end of the year. CFPB’s rules, which go into effect Aug. 31 , place restrictions on banks trying to foreclose on homes whose owners were not already in delinquency at least 120 days
