Innovation in a hybrid workspace. Achurch Consulting takes in-person brainstorming off its high horse by revealing where it falls short. They suggest how to create a remote or hybrid workspace conducive for innovation and provide tips for asynchronous brainstorming.
Cohort programs. WBT Systems explains why cohort programs are popping up all over the web. They sound alluring—progressing through a course with a cohort of peers and alumni mentors—but intense too. Cohorts last only a few months, although some programs provide longer access to the community. See if cohort programs are something your market might be interested in.
Event community. Associations put a ton of effort into planning and promoting events, then do little to keep attendees connected as a community and to the association after the event is over. Event Mobi explains how technology can help you build a year-round community and content hub for attendees. But they say technology alone is not enough, you should invest in people and a plan too.
Metaverse. It’s not going away, so you might as well figure out what the metaverse is all about. Aaron Frank offers one of the best introductions I’ve read in his article on how to explain the metaverse to your grandparents.
Decisions. Noah Cherry provides an interesting perspective on decisions. He says you should consider the journey past the fork in the road (the decision point). Which journey do you see yourself on? If you don’t want to take the steps required for one path, then a different choice is probably better for you.
AMS (r)evolution. Empowered Margins sat down with 70 developers to get their thoughts on all things AMS, such as integration, APIs, security, ecommerce, data visualization. They explain how these factors affect the member experience, how the AMS market is changing and what to look for in an AMS.

It’s not exactly a spring dinner, but I couldn’t resist this Leite’s Culinaria recipe for filet mignon with a chanterelle marsala sauce. Before you get too envious, I used chicken thighs instead of filet mignon and a mix of shiitake, cremini and oyster mushrooms for the chanterelles. Wow, fantastic.
On the side, the last of this year’s Brussels sprouts sautéed with bacon, red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeno and garlic, and baby yellow potatoes roasted with butter, olive oil, rosemary and garlic powder.
An easy recipe for a bold fish, in this case, Spanish mackerel: a glaze made with hoisin sauce, salaam oelek (chile paste), soy sauce and sesame oil. After pulling the glazed and baked fillets out of the oven, sprinkle them with sesame seeds. On the side, zucchini, yellow squash, red onion, red bell pepper and sweet pepper sautéed and then tossed with a southeast Asian-inspired pesto.
We enjoyed poor man’s lobster aka monkfish last week. I treated it like lobster, baking the fillet with butter, lemon juice and Aleppo pepper flakes. On the side, an asparagus sauté with red onion, garlic and herbes de Provence, and cauliflower roasted with red onion and Greek seasoning.
