Meet Hector Alicea – Implementation Consultant at MemberSuite
What’s your position at MemberSuite?
I am an Implementation Consultant with the Professional Services team.
Where are you from?
I was born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York, and have been living in Georgia for the past 11 years.
How did you get into software implementation?
After college, I started working for a financial software firm doing implementations. I have been doing this line of work ever since.
What should we know about you?
I served eight years with the US Marine Corps – 2nd Bn 6th Marines Combat Readiness Unit participating in combat operations overseas. But I’m no hero by any means. The real heroes are those that gave it all in defense of our freedom.
What is one of your hobbies?
I have several hobbies. Spending time with the family is priceless. Baseball and boxing are also my passion, and I’m involved in church ministries.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on at MemberSuite?
Every implementation is a project, and each one is special in that it makes you rise to the challenge, it allows you to meet great people, and it provides the satisfaction of getting a win both for the Association and MemberSuite as a company.
What is the best part of working at MS?
Best part of working at MemberSuite are my colleagues. The diversity that each one brings is special and different and provides an environment of inclusion and fulfillment.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I have been married for 20 years to my beautiful wife Michele, with three awesome kids. My oldest decided to follow my footsteps and join the Army (although Marines would had been better :)). Family is everything.
