Conference Circuit: Customer Engagement

The Professional Association for Customer Engagement’s Annual Convention & Expo begins next week in San Antonio.

Hundreds of customer engagement and contact center experts from across the country are headed to south-central Texas to share best practices, discuss advancements in technologies that will improve the industry, and learn about tools and techniques they can immediately implement back at the office.

Organization: Professional Association for Customer Engagement

Conference: Annual Convention & Expo (ACX’19)

Venue: Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa

City: San Antonio, Texas

Following a welcome reception on Sunday evening, ACX’19 kicks off on Monday morning with a keynote featuring customer experience pioneer Jeanne Bliss. She’ll discuss how companies can earn ardent fans and admirers by focusing on one deceptively simple question: “Would you do that to your mother?” Also on the agenda:

Go green. Rather than printing and shipping costly bag inserts, all sponsors and exhibitors will have a placement in the PACE Virtual Convention Bag. Attendees are able to access the discounts, whitepapers, prize giveaways, and other resources before, during, and after the meeting.

Stay active. The meeting is full of opportunities for attendees to burn some calories while onsite. In addition to golf and tennis tournaments, there’s the Runner’s Network, a group that takes a morning run around the hotel’s grounds led by a PACE board member.

Learn from Amazon. One of the meeting’s general sessions will feature Les O’Reilly, Amazon’s director of Americas customer service outsourcing. He’ll tell attendees all about the company’s latest innovations in customer service that have come to fruition because of active listening and engagement with its customer base.
