Welcome to 2024😄!!!

Before we fully jump into 2024. Let’s revisit the best of 2023. I’m a big proponent of celebrating milestones, wins, and good things more often than less🎈. (BTW, revisiting the past will help you prepare for the future.)

Here are some questions to get you started:

  • What did you accomplish in 2023?

  • What new thing did you try? (Maybe it worked, maybe not, or perhaps the jury is still out, but celebrate no matter the outcome because you tried something new.)

  • What good things happened last year?

While you are thinking about these questions. I’ll go first!

This was a big year. My first book, Elevating Engagement, was published in mid-February, and copies are still selling like hotcakes. Since May, I gave 33 keynotes, dozens of podcast interviews, and some book club meet and greets. I wrote a flurry of guest articles, tons of posts on social media, and 49 blog posts, and one went mini-viral. As for new things, I tried many experiments demonstrating engagement in my keynotes; some worked, and I learned a ton. Overall, 2023 was thrilling, and I’m super jazzed about 2024! Yay🥳!

I’ve got to admit that I don’t take time to celebrate wins very often. I sort of mentally nod at another item checked off my list and jump into the next project. Let’s get better at reflecting and celebrating together, okay?

Now, how about you? What did you accomplish, what did you try, and what good things happened? You can answer these questions with your staff or board or make it a time of reflection just for you.
