They don’t know what happened, but Nancy tells the story in the hopes that the person knows what an amazing project they inspired. In August 2013, they sent an opt-in text message to area codes in El Paso and Chicago. They built the crisis text line to be data driven. The first hire was a Data Scientist and CTO.
