An initiative by Voice of San Diego to bring membership programs to media outlets is picking up enough steam that it’s being spun off into a separate nonprofit. The News Revenue Hub launched last year, a project of the nonprofit news outlet Voice of San Diego.

A new report from the U.S. Travel Association, in a companion study to its Labor Day report on the potential for crowded highways to become the norm , is now looking at the friendly skies and finding some not-so-friendly trends for the future of air travel. According to the USA Today report, a big factor is industry consolidation.
