I was a an attendee at this meeting, and for the closing reception, they meeting organizers packed us all on to a series of shuttle buses and drove us 45 minutes out into the Texas scrub desert. They have the trust of their members, and it isnt a trust thats blindly given. Eric Lanke.

Innovation. Member Engagement. For me, the big takeaway comes near the very end: Do not expect your organizations direction to emerge from a formal process all at once. You may have your direction, but youve left the organization no better able to adapt to the next shift in your environment. Innovation. (15).
