Moving through the Association World

Earlier this year I stepped in to Chair the Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executive’s Education Committee. We went to Scottsdale, AZ, which was a change of pace for the organization. Part of that was implementing a new policy/document management system. The event had great numbers and the program was well received.

The long-running effort in the Senate to reform the patent system, a push that had appeared to be stalling of late, stopped entirely on Wednesday when the Judiciary Committee shelved the legislation. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), the committee’s chairman, said in a statement. Industry groups reacted strongly.
