I started experimenting with Blackboard and Moodle when I was teaching communication courses at a St. Paul liberal arts university back in 2000. I created hybrid components for my classroom courses and redesigned the department’s “distance learning” curriculum. And follow her on social media! So much has changed!

Of course, as will be the case with a number of the changes we discuss here, the ease with which video can now be produced and distributed means there is a lot of it out there, so the stakes are much higher to create video that stands out and is truly effective. As with video, it would be hard to underestimate the impact of social media.
