The American Transaction Processors Coalition, a new trade group that launched this month, hopes to show its financial clout—largely centered on a part of Atlanta called Transaction Alley—to the rest of the world. If you don’t think of Atlanta as a major financial hub, a new industry group would like to change your mind.

A small town within shouting distance of Atlanta has more nonprofit jobs per capita than anywhere else in the country, a new list shows. Look no further than Cumming, Georgia—a town on the outskirts of Atlanta. Fairfax, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, DC, topped the large-towns list (11.3 jobs per 1,000 people).
