That’s why NIGP, the Institute for Public Procurement, set up a virtual chapter to connect members far away from each other in Alaska and Hawaii. I talked with a couple of people from Alaska and found out they had many of the same issues we experienced in Hawaii. For Hawaii, it’s island to island. AHGPA has 77 members.

Also picking up its efforts is the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA), which is investing nearly half a million dollars in a statewide campaign that will target mediums as diverse as billboards, cable television, secretary of state offices, and social media in the weeks before Thanksgiving.

I had a fantastic break, including a family vacation in Hawaii, walking, hiking, quiet, and reflection. I also continued my position as Adjunct Professor teaching a graduate course at Middlebury College/Monterrey Institute for International Education.
