Some legislators opposed to the measure have asked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to put the legislation through a Finance Committee review process before the chamber votes on it. The committee is led by Sen. (Currently, consumers are supposed to report such spending when filing their income taxes, but few do.)

Moving through the Association World

Earlier this year I stepped in to Chair the Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executive’s Education Committee. We went to Scottsdale, AZ, which was a change of pace for the organization. In September I am looking forward to attending the ASAE NextGen Summit in Reno, NV. The weather was just an added bonus!
