ISP Privacy Battle Moves to the States

The commission announced it would rely on vintage telephone system rules, implemented as part of the Communications Act of 1934, to allow for partial re-regulation of ISPs on the privacy issue. Nevada and Minnesota have ISP privacy regulations set into law. Both the initial rulemaking and the repeal proved controversial.
