Other Votes of Note In a special Republican primary runoff for a congressional seat in Alabama, former state Sen. The Colorado Beverage Association scored a victory on Tuesday after voters in the ski-resort town of Telluride turned down a ballot proposal to tax sugary drinks. The measure failed by a 68 percent to 32 percent margin.
