When I worked for Naylor I was based in Florida, but eventually I wanted to return to Houston. In looking for the next step in my career, I turned again to an association: the PR Society of America. I interviewed via Skype and didn’t meet the team in person or see the office until my first day of work.

Louis Cardinals brand – one of the icons of professional baseball – took a hit when the FBI announced it was investigating whether the Cardinals hacked into the computer system of the Houston Astros baseball club. I was lucky enough to be hired as the public relations director responsible for communications PR and the association magazine.
