Sunk Costs, Marginal Costs and Economics. Two of these are cost related. Here are some basic definitions from The Economist website : Sunk Costs - When what is done cannot be undone. Sunk costs are costs that have been incurred and cannot be reversed, for example, spending on ADVERTISING or researching a product idea.

Do We Need Social Media Certification? My friend Maddie Grant tweeted this post the other day about Social Media Certification. There is no authority in Social Media Marketing, there is no standard. I got an email from ASAE asking me to vote for sessions for the 2012 Marketing, Membership and Communications Conference. A Gen Xer giving his thoughts and opinions on the Association world. Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Voting for Sessions. What a great idea. Crowdsourcing at its best.

I think we will see increased growth in usage as we roll it out at our other meetings and increase marketing of it. It didnt get much usage, but I attribute that to being new and us not publicizing it enough. Having it run wordpress was really nice and flexible. Hopefully we can see more usage sooner rather than later. Any thoughts?

In my particular case, my target market based on age, demographics and interests was an estimated reach of 633,000+. The cost-per-thousand views (CPM) maximum I bid was $0.50. The suggested bid price for each click was between $0.81 I entered a max bid of $1. I set the ad to run on Monday 5/24 from 5am - 10pm. Matt Baehr. at 2:10 PM.
