Kasich, working with West Virginia University President Gordon Gee, is launching a new group called Citizens for Effective Opioid Treatment, which will help direct any settlements related to opioid treatments to hospitals, rather than state or local governments. HAP is part of a $50 million initiative by Bloomberg.
