Senators have introduced a bill that would shut down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in favor of a privatized home financing system. Mandate 10 percent private capital, upfront, for the system to protect taxpayers against future bailouts. A number of finance associations support it.

The long-running effort in the Senate to reform the patent system, a push that had appeared to be stalling of late, stopped entirely on Wednesday when the Judiciary Committee shelved the legislation. Industry groups reacted strongly. Patent reform—a hot topic in Congress for months—appears to have suffered a critical blow.

Part of that was implementing a new policy/document management system. In addition to that we just finished implemented a new AMS system in Timberlake. In September I am looking forward to attending the ASAE NextGen Summit in Reno, NV. The rest of the summer has been busy in other ways. That brings us to now.
