But since my family is spending next week at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina, I will savor my time with them on the beach. Before I get to OIB, I’m attending the Association Executives of North Carolina’s Annual Meeting in Williamsburg VA where I get to spend time with several speaker friends from across the nation.

I went from stunning grueling experiences—hiking 14 miles down the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, staying overnight at Phantom Ranch at the bottom, hiking 10 miles up the South Rim the next day, and more hiking in Sedona AZ (Bear Mountain was the highlight)—to the intense reality of preparing for a direct hit by Hurricane Florence.

We spent last weekend at my niece’s, who lives just down the road from the Intracoastal Waterway, across from uninhabited Masonboro Island in North Carolina. Value proposition. 1 CAE credit.
