George Washington was 24 years old when he first ran for a seat in the Virginia House of Burgesses. Washington lost that first time and learned his lesson. To reduce voter fraud, cities and states started to adopt the secret ballot, beginning with Louisville, Kentucky in 1888. Things could be worse, folks. Political feasting.

The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics reports that 15 states currently have certification laws: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.
