Diving in: More community pools are open for the summer

This spring, CAI surveyed roughly 1,000 members about their pool plans for 2021. Only 2% of survey respondents said they plan to close the pool this season compared to nearly 44% last year, and associations delaying their pool openings dropped from 30% in 2020 to about 9% in 2021.

If You’re Looking for a Job, Look Inland, Lists Say

The city topped two recent surveys: Glassdoor’s “ 25 Best Cities for Jobs in 2017 ” and Apartment List’s “ Top 10 Metros for Millennials.” Two new reports suggest that Midwestern and Southern cities have a better balance of job openings and cost of living than their coastal counterparts.

Give Back: Community Service Projects at Conferences

These type of volunteer projects are not out of the norm for associations: According to a recent survey by ASAE’s Convene Green Alliance, 39 percent of association meeting professionals said their organization does at least one community service or legacy event at their meetings, with another 15 percent expecting to do so in the coming year.
