Growing up in rural Ohio, I grew accustomed to the “friendly wave” when passing folks on their front porch, a farmer plowing his fields or the driver of an oncoming car on a rural road. Is it incorporated in our board and committee meetings? If a wave wasn’t possible, people would give a friendly “toot” of their horn as they passed.

I played varsity hockey at Ohio State. As a hockey fan, the current “lock-out” shows hockey leaders (management and players union) are the dumbest “association” going. Brinker; however, remained as chairman of Komen’s executive committee. I’m a huge hockey fan. The greatest sport there is. I’m biased though.
