In a pre-pandemic article, Forbes reported that the adult learning services market in the United States, both online and offline, was about USD 10 billion as of 2016. Coursera and edX, the two largest and most recognizable massive open online course (MOOC) providers, were both founded in 2012. We do, however, have significant clues.
