As some of you may know, in addition to my role with Event Garde , I work for Michigan State University’s central communications office. For example, if an association offers online certification, it can easily incorporate a YouTube video or podcast. So now I’m wondering, where do Massive Open Online Courses fit into this equation?

WBT System’s Erin Pavane is presenting a session on digital badges next week at ORGPRO , the Michigan Society of Association Executives’ education and networking convention for professionals in the not-for-profit industry. More than a quarter of them said certifications and digital badges could be a useful substitute for a degree.

Courses and workshops that lead to licenses, certificates, and other recognition within professions and occupations.

Spring is finally here in Michigan and as robins chirp and flowers start to bloom, it’s the perfect time for Earth Day. According to the report, there are seven best practices among environmentally friendly venues: 83 percent have achieved a sustainability-related certification. 87 percent have secure bike parking for staff.
