Report: Nonprofit Fundraising Up in 2018, but Donor Numbers Down

The Association of Fundraising Professionals found a decline in the number of donors who gave to nonprofits at the end of 2018, but overall giving was buoyed by an increase in the size of donations at many organizations. And more than half of nonprofits (54 percent) topped their 2017 fundraising totals. What about the bad news?

Report: More People Gave or Volunteered in 2018

That’s a key finding of “ Charitable Giving in the USA 2019 ,” a new report published by CAF America based on a survey of more than 1,100 Americans conducted by YouGov. Meanwhile, more than a third of Americans (35 percent) volunteered, an increase from 2017, when 31 percent of respondents said they volunteered.
